Philippine Central Engagement Services, Inc. (PCES) with the help of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Tanza conducted an orientation and registration through Chains2Chances- a job matching platform for soon to be released Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), wherein 100 (PDL’s) registered on the system in xJanuary 2024 at Tanza, Cavite.
The orientation provides PDLs with essential information about the Chains2Chances website and underscores how this employment platform can serve as a valuable tool for their future reintegration.
Chains2Chances is a job-matching platform designed for former detainees, helping them find meaningful employment. It connects justice-involved individuals with inclusive employers, supporting reentry through skills training, guidance, and job opportunities.
The event was conducted under the supervision of Tanza Municipal Jail Warden JCINSP. Harry C. Ballon’s, with the assistance of JO1 Zykee R. Camerino wherein 100 pdls- 65 Male PDLs and 35 Female registered on the system.
This initiative reflects the continuing efforts of the BJMP to prepare PDLs to become law-abiding and productive members of society, ensuring that rehabilitation and reintegration remain at the core of its mandate. With this, more Bureau of Jail Management and Penology offices like BJMP Bacoor and BJMP Calabarzon followed suit.
