Philippine Central Engagement Services (PCES) Inc. formally presented the pwd-e — an employment matching website dedicated to expand job opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). The presentation took place at Tahanang Walang Hagdanan on August 29, 2025 at Cainta, Rizal.

During this event, the PCES team briefly provided a glimpse of the company’s profile. They also discussed the features of the pwd-e website. In addition, they had a quick demonstration on how employers can register on and access the website.

In line with these initiatives, PCES also inked a partnership with RBI Inc. to further boost employment opportunities for Persons with Disabilities.

What is Tahanang Walang Hagdanan?

Tahanang Walang Hagdanan started in 1973 as a non-stock, non-profit, and non-government organization. It aims to boost the lives of Orthopedically handicapped persons. Moreover, Sr. Valeriana Baerts, ICM., a Belgian nun, founded this organization. She served as a volunteer nurse in the Philippines and extended its services for orthopedic and other disabilities for over 50 years. In fact, it also offers rehabilitation training, workshops, and livelihood opportunities.

Following the recent engagement of PCES at Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, the team also visited the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) of Cainta, Rizal. Subsequently, they went to the Office of the Mayor of Cainta. In both offices, they correspondingly presented the PWD-e website. Furthermore, they emphasized its possibility to guide the local initiatives mainly on inclusivity and employment.

Building on these collaborations, PCES also joined the Career Connect Employers Forum in Cebu City to promote inclusive employment for Persons with Disability.

Goal of PCES Inc.

This series of visits highlights PCES’s continuing commitment to promoting inclusivity. It also strengthens partnerships and creates opportunities for Persons with Disabilities. Therefore, PWDs can become more active and productive members of society.
